Tour de Kids the ride for life
Welcome to Tour de Kids

The Tour de Kids is an annual cycling challenge, transporting senior executives from the daily grind to an epic journey on the roads of Australia, with the aim of raising funds for children’s charities.

Over the last 8 years the tour has raised over A$3 million for some very deserving causes.

Our principal charity is the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Starlight’s mission is to brighten the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children, and their families, by delivering innovative programs that restore the fun, laughter and joy that serious illness takes away.

The tour itself is a feat of endurance which places the riders in a very different realm from their every day life in the board room or in front of a computer. A seven day ride over 1100kms, Tour de Kids replicates the Tour de France in Australia, complete with competition jerseys for exceptional conduct either on or off the bike. The tour typically includes a mountain climb to test the mettle of the riders.

We have completed Tour de Kids 2008 (30 March - 6 April). The ride was the most challenging yet with the cyclists climbing to the dizzying heights of Mount Hotham on day one through fog, rain and snow.

The 2008 tour attracted great media attention, including the Nine Network's 'Getaway' program, which will go to air at 7.30pm Thursday 16 October 2008.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, TDK 2008 was a phenomenal success raising $554,000.00 for the Starlight Children's Foundation, Bear Cottage, Canteen, Anaphylaxis Australia (AAI), Streetworx, Royal Far West Children's Health Scheme and Day of Difference Foundation.
